The gangster who illegally occupied the lands of the common people in Aligarh has been arrested by the police on Tuesday. The accused was on the run for a long time and the police was looking for him.
On Tuesday, the police got information that the gang leader accused of gangster is present in Aligarh only. After which the Gandhipark police arrested the accused from Rathi Nagar in Ambedkar Nagar. During this the accused tried to escape from the spot, but the police chased the accused and nabbed him.
Inspector himself had filed a case
Gangleader Dhruv Kumar, accused of Gangster Act, is a resident of Ambedkar Nagar Rathi Nagar under Gandhipark police station area. The accused used to occupy people’s land by making forged documents. The accused, along with his accomplices, used to keep an eye on the vacant lands and then occupied them.
If any person spoke against the accused, they would start beating him up and would threaten to harm the family as well. Because of this, most people used to get suppressed by them and did not take action. Nominated cases were also registered against the accused in several police stations of the district. After which the Gandhi Park Inspector took action against the accused under the Gangster Act on the instructions of the SSP.
Property of accused will also be attached
Gandhipark police station in-charge Ravindra Kumar Dubey said that the accused gangster has been arrested. After which he is being questioned and legal action has been initiated. He said that the property of the accused is being identified, after which it will be confiscated.
He said that the property would be confiscated under the sections of the Gangster Act, after which it would be auctioned. Because the accused have earned all this property by cheating the public. SI Ramviresh and head constable Avinash Dubey were involved in catching Dhruv.
