Garib Kalyan Mela was organized in Salempur block of Deoria district on Wednesday, in which information was given to benefit the common man from various welfare schemes being run by the state government. The Garib Kalyan Mela was inaugurated by MP Ravindra Kushwaha by lighting the lamp.
Many schemes are being run for the welfare of the poor.
In the program, MP Ravindra Kushwaha said that farmers will get fair price on modern farming, which will improve their economic condition. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have operated many schemes to make youth and farmers self-reliant. The government is providing pension to the disabled, widows and old people. The MP also performed Annaprashan for the children with the help of Anganwadi workers.
Baby shower of pregnant women was also done
In the Garib Kalyan Mela, iron and folic acid tablets were also distributed to maids and adolescent girls after conducting a health check-up. A baby shower program for pregnant women was also organized on this occasion. In the program, MLA Kali Prasad said that the central and state governments are running various public welfare schemes for the benefit of the common man.
