Gautam Gambhir receives death threats from ‘ISIS Kashmir’, security beefed up outside his house

Former cricketer and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir has received death threats. He has sought help from Delhi Police alleging that ‘ISIS Kashmir’ has given this threat to him through email. After he received the terrorist threat, now the security outside his house has been increased. DCP Central Shweta Chauhan said that the investigation of the alleged death threat case is being done at present.

In a letter to the Central DCP of Delhi, Gambhir said that he had received a threatening email from the handle of ‘ISIS Kashmir’ which read that ‘we will kill you and your family’. Following this, the cricketer-turned-politician has requested the Delhi Police to provide adequate security and register an FIR in the matter.

Significantly, Gautam Gambhir had recently criticized Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu for calling Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan his ‘elder brother’. Let us inform that Punjab Congress President Sidhu, while interacting with the CEO of Kartarpur project, called Imran Khan his ‘elder brother’, after which a controversy erupted in India.

BJP MP Gautam Gambhir criticized Sidhu for his controversial remarks, saying “first send your son or daughter to the border and then tell a ‘terrorist country chief’ as your elder brother.” Also, the BJP MP from East Delhi had also condemned this ‘disgusting’ remark on Twitter.
