A booster dose of Covaxin can kill both Delta and Omicron. This claim has been made on the basis of a study conducted by Covaxin Manufacturers Bharat Biotech at Emory University. Bharat Biotech said that a booster dose of Covaxin (BBV152) was used on the live virus of Corona. In which the booster dose developed antibodies to eliminate the Delta and Omicron variants.
According to the company, during the study of samples, it was revealed that the booster dose eliminated delta in 100% of the samples and this figure was 90% in the Omicron variant. This data suggests that Covaxin is an effective option in the ever-changing epidemic. During the study, people were given a booster dose 6 months after both the doses of corona were given.
Booster dose of Covaxin effective in early study
Mehul Suthar, assistant professor of lab analysis at the Emory Vaccine Center, said that Omicron as the dominant variant remains a health threat worldwide. Data from this preliminary analysis suggest that people who have been given a booster dose of Covaxin have developed an effective immune response against both Delta and Omicron. This is proven by the fact that booster doses reduce the severity of disease and the risk of hospitalization.
Bharat Biotech said – our goal has been accomplished
Dr. Krishna Ella, Chairman, Bharat Biotech said that the company is continuously engaged in the development of Covaxin and new experiments are being done continuously. Our goal of developing a global vaccine against Corona has been accomplished. Now Covaxin is being administered to both adults and children.
