Mini Secretariat Sector 12 will soon be illuminated with solar energy. The district administration has tied up with a Gurgaon-based company. The company will set up a 100 kW solar plant here. This will benefit all government offices. The special thing is that the company will provide electricity at half the rate from Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam. This will also reduce the burden of revenue on the government. Because the departments will get electricity at cheap rates. On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Yadav signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Ultimate Sun Systems, Gurgaon. The company will set up a 100 kW solar plant on the roof of the mini secretariat. After supplying electricity to government departments, the remaining electricity will be stored in the grid of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam.
Electricity will be available at the rate of four rupees
There are more than a dozen officers government offices in Sector 12 Mini Secretariat. These include DC Office, ADC Office, Police Department, SDM Office, Agriculture Department, Panchayat Raj Department, Revenue Department, Registry Office, NIC, Election Office, Employment Office, Saral Kendra, RTA Office, Record Room and many other departments. DC Jitendra Yadav said that the company will provide electricity to government offices at the rate of Rs 4 per unit.
Right now electricity is available at the rate of Rs 7.50
At present, electricity is being supplied here by Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam. DHVVN currently collects bills from the concerned departments at the rate of Rs 7.50 per unit. According to an estimate, every month one to 1.5 crore rupees are billed for all the departments. The administration believes that after the installation of the solar plant, the electricity bill will be reduced to half.
The company will install the system at its own expense
DC Jitendra Yadav signed the PPA. He said that in view of the need of the hour, this MoU has been signed with Ultimate Sun System through the Department of Renewable Energy. As per the conditions, the company will set up a 100 KW capacity solar plant on the roof of the Mini Secretariat at its own expense. This company will also be responsible for its maintenance and production for the next 25 years. The electricity generated from the solar power plant will be used in all the offices of the Mini Secretariat. For this, two meters will be installed in which if the power consumption is less in the mini secretariat, then the electricity generated will go to the bridge of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam. If needed, the same unit can be taken from the electricity corporation. The installation work of the plant will start in the next one month.
Other government buildings will be searched
The Deputy Commissioner said that solar energy is the need of the hour. Possibilities of such plants will also be explored on big government buildings of the district built at other places. So that such plants can be set up there also. On this occasion ADC Satbir Singh Mann, APO Ravikant Sharma, Department of Renewable Energy, Narendra Kumar, Director, Ultimate Sun Systems, Engineer Rahul were present.
