Nahan, Jagran correspondent. Union Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said that the government is trying to promote girls in every field. In the field of sports also, the government is determined to provide every facility to promote girls. This statement was made by Anurag Singh Thakur while laying the foundation stone of Hockey Astroturf to be constructed at a cost of Rs 5.50 crore at Majra in Nahan assembly constituency of Sirmaur district today. He said that there is a need to further strengthen the sports infrastructure in Himachal. In this direction, better sports facilities will be made available to the players here. Anurag Thakur said that a new sports hostel building would be constructed in Majra and all basic facilities would be provided here where good coaches from North India would be sent for training every three months. He urged the players to keep working hard and said that all the basic facilities would be provided to them by the government. He said that an indoor stadium would be constructed at Paonta Sahib. He said that efforts should be made to find sports talent from time to time so that talented players can be identified and they can get opportunities at the national and international level by providing them time-to-time training. He said that the Prime Minister of the country motivates the participants by talking to the participants in the Olympics and other international competitions, under which all the MPs, Ministers and MLAs should also motivate the players. Similar efforts should be made in Himachal Pradesh too, so that the youth of this place can also be provided a platform to come forward in the field of sports.

Term of eight years remained corruption free

The Union Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the tenure of 8 years in the country is being completed on 26th May, which has been completely corruption free. MLA Nahan Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that unprecedented development has been possible in Nahan assembly constituency during the tenure of the present government. Sports facilities are becoming available. After this, Anurag Thakur presented a 4-wheeled scooty on behalf of District Red Cross Society Sirmaur to Kuldeep Singh, a differently-abled person belonging to village Kota Pab, Tehsil Shillai, on the occasion of World Red Cross Day today.
