Jagran Correspondent, Bhagalpur. The Education Department has started a unique initiative to increase the attendance of children in schools. Now if the children do not come to the class till Friday, then on Saturday the teacher will reach the parents. Teachers will try to find out from the parents why the children are not coming to school. Teachers will motivate parents to send their child to regular school. The biggest problem is the lack of regular attendance of children in government schools. The above facts are also corroborated by the inspection report of the schools by the officials.

District Program Officer, Secondary Education, Manikant Gupta inspected four schools of Sultanganj. The District Program Officer said that the primary school Kushwaha Tola Sultanganj, Shanti Devi Murarka Girls Middle School Sultanganj, Krishnanand Surajmal Inter School Sultanganj etc. were inspected. The attendance of children was very low in all the four schools. The teachers of all the schools have been instructed to increase the attendance of the children by taking personal interest. The Education Department has now directed the teachers under the Child First Policy to contact the parents of the children who are absent from the regular classes and motivate them to send the children to the regular school.

Here, District Program Officer Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Devendra Narayan Pandit said that continuous efforts are being made to increase the attendance of children in schools. Schools are constantly being inspected by all the officials. Teachers are also being directed to ensure the attendance of maximum number of children in schools.
