Roads in most of the major districts of the state are in bad shape. Recently, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who was on a tour of Raigad district, received many complaints about the poor condition of the roads, after which the CM removed the head of the PWD, ENC. After the complaint of bad roads, when we investigated, it was found that the condition of more than 350 roads, including small and big, is in bad shape.

In this, the complaints of bad roads are highest in Bilaspur, Raigad, Korba, Surguja, Jashpur, Pathalgaon. Because the roads were not being maintained here for a long time, as well as the construction of new roads was not being started. People say that many times complaints have been made to the responsible officers about the condition of the roads, but they used to pass their responsibility on other departments.

The walkers on this road groan in pain
People walking on the roads leading from Pathalgaon to Ludeng groan. Walking on this route during rainy days is nothing less than risking your life. Anyone can fall into a pit at any time.

There can be large-scale transfers in the department
The CM has given a clear message to the PWD officers by removing the ENC with immediate effect that if the roads do not improve, then many more senior officers will take a bath. If sources are to be believed, there will be a large-scale transfer of officers and employees in the districts where complaints of roads were coming for a long time and there was no improvement. It is said that the biggest complaint of the removed ENC was that despite writing letters from the public representatives, they used to postpone saying that the roads come in NH, we cannot build or repair it.

it’s hard to find the road here
It is not even possible to find a road from Raigarh to Gerwani. The distance of Radbhara- Kharsia-Chandrapur road is about 41 km. Walking on this road is no less than a test. The condition of Rogda-Birghani Road, about 21 km from Naila to Pantora Road and about 36 km from Janjgir-Kera Road is also very bad.

bad even after repair
The condition of Kunkuri-Lavkera road of Jashpur is also bad. The road from Pulita Chowk to Tamta Pandripani, from Garden to Charaidand to Sarkombo is in bad shape. Kotba Bandarchuwa road is not maintainable even after repair. Due to the deterioration of Highway 43, traffic is increasing on Lavakera, Kotba road.
