Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch the National Master Plan i.e. Gati Shakti Yojana today. It is a digital platform connecting 16 ministries including rail and road, which will accelerate the development of infrastructure projects worth about Rs 100 lakh crore. It was announced by PM Modi from Red Fort on 15th August on the occasion of 75th Independence Day.
For this, a group of 16 ministries has been formed, which is mainly related to infrastructure. This includes ministries like Railways, Road Transport, Ships, IT, Textiles, Petroleum, Energy, Aviation. The ongoing projects of these ministries or the plans to be completed by 2024-25 will be put on GIS mode under Gati Shakti.
All those plans will be placed under a National Master Plan. It will have officers and experts at the level of Joint Secretary from all the 16 Ministries. These people will evaluate those plans through 3D images taken from satellite and give their opinion to complete those plans as soon as possible. This scheme will also enable better coordination between the ministries.

Under this scheme, India will promote all its manufacturing products. Gati Shakti Yojana will provide a golden opportunity to the unemployed youth of the country. The benefit of this scheme will be given especially to the local manufacturers. Due to which Made in India product will be specially promoted. Small, small and cottage industries will also get special support.
This scheme will also help in the MSME sector to grow. Not only this, infrastructure will be developed to make the means of transport accessible. Under this scheme, 75 Vande Bharat trains will connect every corner of the country with another in 75 weeks.
