Guidelines issued for Navratri: ADM’s permission will have to be taken for Garba, ban on many events including DJ after 10 pm

Navratri is about to begin on 26 September. The Raipur Collector has issued guidelines keeping in mind the festival of Navratri. An important meeting related to this was also taken. More than 90 Durga Samiti organizers were called in the collectorate. All these were discussed by the officials of the district administration.

Giving information to the organizers of the city, Raipur Collector Dr Sarveshwar Bhure clearly said that pandals cannot be set up on the roads. The collector has also given instructions regarding the use of garba and DJ in Jagrata. According to the guidelines issued by the district administration, now DJ or sound system will not be used after 10:00 pm. If any organizing committee organizes Ras Garba or Jagrata, then permission of ADM will be necessary for this.

If the traffic on the road is affected or people are inconvenienced due to any organizing committee, then action will also be taken against the organizers on receipt of its complaint. The Durga Puja Organizing Committees will have to immediately give information about people using anti-social elements and weapons to the concerned police station. The organizers will also have to give the phone numbers of their committee members to the police station of their area.

ADM NR Sahu said that the committees have been asked to compulsorily install CCTV cameras in their idol installation pandals. Guidelines have also been issued regarding immersion of idols, idol immersion will have to be done from October 5 to 6. After that idol immersion will not be allowed.
