In view of the increasing dengue outbreak in the city, now the health department has become more strict. If there is any obstacle in the work of the team formed by the Health Department, then he may have to face jail. When the health workers go for checking the houses, most of the people get into arguments and fights with the employees for checking the house and taking action if dengue larvae are found. Keeping this in mind, the Health Department has implemented the rules of Epidemic Diseases Act-1897 on dengue. Now a police case will be registered against the residents of the city for obstructing the work of health workers or getting entangled with them. Apart from the Epidemic Diseases Act, legal action will be taken against such people under IPC sections. If a person refuses to check inside homes and societies for the prevention of dengue. In such a situation, a provision has also been made to impose a direct fine against the accused person under the Epidemic Diseases Act. If a person does not pay the fine and is negligent towards the prevention of dengue, he will be issued a show cause notice in addition to the challan. It will be mandatory to reply to this show cause notice to the health department. Legal action will be taken if you do not respond. The helpline number-7626002036 has been issued for the residents of the city by the Malaria Wing of the Health Department.
