A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Bibewadi of the cultural capital Pune on Tuesday evening. Here, on the middle road, three people brutally murdered a 14-year-old minor girl by stabbing her with knives. The victim is also a Kabaddi district level junior player. This heinous incident took place when the teenager was going for Kabaddi practice. In the preliminary investigation, it has been found that a 22-year-old youth who failed in the one-sided love of a minor studying in class 8, has carried out this incident.
The three accused involved in this murder have been arrested by the police on Wednesday morning. Among them are two minors and a 22-year-old Shubham Bhagwat. Shubham Bhagwat is a relative of the victim and stayed at her house for some time.
Such a minor was murdered on the middle road
Police said on Wednesday morning that we have caught the three boys involved in the incident and we have recovered two knives from them. That is how the crime was committed. They will be produced before the court for custody in some time. Pune Police DCP Namrata Patil said that the minor was going to Yash Lawn in Bibewadi area for Kabaddi practice at around 5.45 pm last evening. Around 6 pm, she was standing near the lawn with her friends, when Shubham boys, riding on a motorcycle, reached there along with two of their companions and attacked the victim one after the other.
The minor was attacked till death did not happen
Namrata Patil said, ‘They kept hitting the minor till he died. After the murder, all the three accused fled from the spot. With the help of the testimony and CCTV footage of the people present on the spot, the police managed to nab the two accused late in the night. However, 22-year-old Shubham, the main accused in the case, had absconded and was caught on Wednesday morning.
Patil further told that Shubham is also a relative of the victim and he also stayed at the victim’s house for a few days. The father came to know about her falling in unrequited love and harassing the girl and was thrown out of the house.
Ajit Pawar also instructed for quick action
In this case, DCP (Zone-5) Namrata Patil said that at the scene of the murder of the deceased 14-year-old minor teenager, the police have recovered a pistol from the spot, it looks like a toy gun. Patil further said that the police is investigating to find out the truth about it. At the same time, in this matter, the Deputy Chief Minister of the state Ajit Pawar, who is also the guardian minister of Pune district. Condemning the incident, he has directed the Pune Police to take immediate action in the matter.
