Angered by the administration’s decision to close the Dhansu road with soil for the expansion of the airport strip in Hisar, the villagers met the DC for a solution. DC Dr. Priyanka Soni gave a befitting reply to the villagers that the road has been closed on the orders of the higher officials. Put your point in front of the Rural Chief Minister or Deputy CM. The DC warned that the villagers should not try to open the road themselves and do not take law in their hands in any situation. The administration is taking action on their demand but the opening of the road is not possible now. On the other hand, the villagers gave time till evening to the administration to open the closed Dhansu road and said that after evening the villagers themselves would open the road.
Panchayat of 10 villages at Dhansu Main Chowk of Road Sangharsh Samiti after the DC refused to open the road. It was presided over by Sarpanch Manohar Lal Bhakar. Talwandi Rana’s representative Mahendra Kohli said that the district administration closed Dhansu Road for airport expansion without informing which is wrong. The people of Dhansu, Sulkhni, Ghirai, Khanpur, Sindh, Singhwa Ragho and Data villages are facing problems due to closure of the road without informing. The people of Dhansu have to cross the gate while coming from Hisar bypass via Mirzapur. It takes time. Actually, Talwandi Rana Road on NH-52 from Hisar is temporarily operational, but after some time this road will also be closed. This will cause problems to the people up to Talwandi Rana, Bir Babaran, Juglan, Behbalpur, Khedi Barki, Sarsaud, Bichpadi, Jevra, Barwala, Uklana and Tohana. Hisar Talwandi Rana Road Sangharsh Samiti said that the government should land the plane here later, first give them an alternate road.
MLA Sihag gave assurance
Sarpanch of Dhansu, Manohar Lal Bhakar said that he has spoken to MLA Jogiram Sihag regarding closure of Dhansu road and given a memorandum. The MLA said that the administration would make roads to the people of the area before the plane landed. He asked Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala to ask for time to meet him in Chandigarh. Soon the Deputy CM will be informed about the problem. The MLA has said that if the problem is not resolved, he will give the road to the Sangharsh Samiti.
