Hospital was running without registration: Administration sealed, Awadhipar biomedical waste was also found

When the team of District Administration and Health Department investigated Suraj Hospital in Sarupganj on Thursday, many irregularities came to the fore. Medical registration of Suraj Hospital was not found during investigation. Along with this, proper disposal of biomedical waste was also not being done. When the hospital operated without registration, the team sealed the hospital.

Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Rajesh Kumar and Pindwara SDM Hasmukh Kumar Direction BCMO Dr. Bhupendra Pratap Singh, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Ramlal, Naib Tehsil Bhavari Narayan Dewasi, RI, Chunilal Purohit, Rajendra Singh ASI from Police Department, The team of Niranjan Singh constable raided the Suraj Hospital operated in Sarupganj. This caused a stir among the hospital staff. Biomedical waste found to be operated without registration. The standards were also not met. Biomedical waste rules were also not being followed in the hospital.

The hospital in-charge could not give any satisfactory answer. BCMO Dr. Bhupendra Pratap Singh told that due to non-receipt of registration and ignoring the rules, the hospital was sealed. CMHO Dr. Rajesh Kumar said that the Health Department is running a campaign against unauthorizedly operated hospitals and nursing homes. This campaign will continue till further orders.
