The dollar has increased by Rs 24 and has reached the equivalent of 255 Pakistani rupees. Pakistan is passing through a period of economic challenges. Whether it is gas or petrol and diesel, the prices of all are skyrocketing.

Currently, the price of one liter of petrol in Pakistan is Rs 214. While high speed diesel is available at Rs 228 per litre. According to the economic experts of Pakistan, after the increase of 24 rupees in the price of dollar, the price of petrol diesel is also going to increase and this increase can be up to 10 percent. Means petrol of Rs 214 can go around Rs 235 and diesel of Rs 228 can go around Rs 250.

The increase in the price of diesel will have an effect on the freight and the prices of other daily things may also increase in the same proportion. Food items including flour are already expensive, there may be a further increase of up to 10 percent. The flour which is currently available at Rs 150-160 per kg can go up to Rs 175.

It is believed that the effect of inflation on the gas supplied through the pipeline is almost certain. Its price can increase by 15 to 20 percent. Those who burn electricity in excess of the prescribed minimum limit may have to pay an additional cost of up to Rs 7.50 per unit.
