How to Lock and Unlock Aadhaar Card?

  • Visit the official website of UIDAI- https://uidai.gov.in/.
  • First select My Aadhaar, then ‘Aadhaar Services’ and then Lock/Unlock Biometrics option.
  • Here enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number or 16 digit Virtual ID.
  • Enter the captcha code and then click on send OTP.
  • After this OTP will come on the registered mobile number, fill it in the given space.
  • Select the option to lock/unlock biometric data.
  • Now your biometric data will be locked.
