In Khagaria, when a mother reached her husband with her 2-year-old child, she refused to recognize him. The husband and his family members first abused the woman and then drove her away. In such a situation, she reached the Pasaraha police station with a complaint. Where even the policemen did not listen to her and asked the woman to go back home. Now the young woman is stumbling from door to door for justice and insisting on staying at her house, describing her lover Munna Kumar as the father of her child.
Let me tell you, her husband Munna Kumar is a resident of Punaur village under Pasraha police station area. At the same time, the woman is Raveena Kumari, 22-year-old daughter of Ratilal Sharma, a resident of Chhoti Sank village of Mufassil police station area of Begusarai. The victim said, ‘We both got married on May 5, 2019, in a Shiva temple located at Karpuri place, Begusarai. After that we were together for a long time. Later my husband returned to his house, but during this time we continued to talk on the phone. The girl claims that Munna’s family members are also aware of the marriage of both of us, but they are deliberately treating me like this.
After the marriage of elder brother, there was talk of taking him to his in-laws’ house.
Raveena Kumari said, ‘Whenever I used to ask Munna to take me to her in-laws’ house, he used to make all kinds of excuses. Often used to say that after the marriage of elder brother, I will take you to my house, so I used to agree to him. But, now he is backing down from this marriage. The woman has claimed that she also has an audio recording of Munna, in which Munna, while confessing to the marriage, is telling her to take her to her in-laws’ house when the time comes.
There was friendship in Saraswati Mela, then there was love
According to the victim woman, a fair is held in her neighborhood every year on Saraswati Puja. In such a situation, I met Munna for the first time in the same fair three years ago. Then both of them became friends and that friendship turned into love. After that both of them decided to get married. The girl told, ‘After friendship in the fair, both of us continued to meet and physical relationship between both of us also continued. Then when I got pregnant, Munna married me in the temple.
Munna’s relative’s house in the girl’s village
Munna Kumar’s aunt’s house is in the same village where Raveena Kumari belongs to Begusarai. where he lived and studied. The girl told, ‘Then the information about the love affair of both of us came to Munna Kumar’s aunt, his family and my family members, then both of us got married. But he is refuting that marriage and refusing to recognize me.
The victim said, “The police has advised her to file a complaint with the Mahila Thana of her district, while the Begusarai police had advised me to approach the police station in my in-laws’ area. In such a situation, it is difficult to get justice.
Here, Ramaditya Kumar, in-charge of Pasaraha police station, said, ‘The girl had brought a complaint with her mother, but she has been sent to the women’s police station. Since the matter is related to marriage and exploitation, it is more appropriate to go to Mahila Thana.
