IND vs AUS Test Series: A four-match Test series is being played between India and Australia. Out of which India won two matches. So far the performance of the Australia team has been very disappointing in this series. Pat Cummins returned to Australia only after the second Test. Since then, Australian fast bowler Josh Hazelwood was also ruled out of the series. Ab Australian team has got another big blow.
Australia’s legendary opener David Warner will also not play in the remaining two Test matches. Warner suffered an elbow injury during the second Test played in Delhi. After that he could not get down to bat in the second innings of the match. Matt Renshaw became Warner’s concussion replacement in the second Test. Warner batted in the first innings and Renshaw in the second innings. Warner could not perform anything special in the first two Tests. He scored only 26 runs in three innings. He can return from the ODI series to be held after the Test.
Cricket Australia statement
“David Warner has been ruled out of the Test tour of India and has returned to Australia,” Cricket Australia said in a statement. Warner suffered an elbow injury and a hairline fracture in the second Test in Delhi. The rehabilitation process will begin. It is now estimated that he will return to India for three ODIs.
Stark and Green are also difficult to play
This is a big blow for Australia. The team will be under pressure if Josh Hazlewood and David Warner are out. Fast bowler Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Cameron Green are yet to be fully fit. It is difficult for both to play in the next Test. The third Test between India and Australia will be played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore from March 1. After this, the fourth Test will be held in Ahmedabad from 9 March.
