New Delhi, Online Desk. Ajinkya Rahane will be the captain of the Indian team in the Kanpur Test match against New Zealand, but his poor form is a matter of concern for Team India. Due to Rahane’s poor batting, many cricketers demanded him out of the team, while former India opener Gautam Gambhir even said that he remains in the Indian team only because of luck. Gambhir also said that he can captain the team in the absence of Virat Kohli, because of this he is in the team. Now he has a chance to prove himself.

This year Rahane has been very poor in Test matches and he is failing series after series. Now about Ajinkya Rahane’s poor form, Team India’s middle-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara said that he is just one innings away from achieving his form. During a press conference before the Test match to be held in Kanpur, Pujara said a lot while supporting Rahane. Pujara said that Rahane is a great batsman and there comes a time when a player goes through tough times. Players have their ups and downs in their careers, but I think Rahane is a confident player.

After this Pujara said that Rahane is such a player who works very hard and I am sure that he is just one innings away from coming back to his form. Once he manages to score runs, he will be back in his form. He has been working very hard in the nets and seems to be in very good touch. I hope he will be able to score runs in this Test series against New Zealand.
