New Delhi, Online Desk. Team India Playing XI: When the Indian team enters the first test match against New Zealand at the Greenpark Stadium in Kanpur, all eyes will be on Team India’s playing XI. However, before this, Team India will have to work hard to select the last 11 of captain Ajinkya Rahane and coach Rahul Dravid, because the big question in front of the team management will be who should be fit in the middle order other than the opening slot.

Let us tell you, captain Virat Kohli, opener Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are not available for this match. Even KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma will not play in the next match but Virat Kohli will make a comeback. On the other hand, if we talk about the playing XI of the first Test match, then Shubman Gill can be seen along with Mayank Agarwal as an opener, because KL Rahul is now out of the series. Earlier, Shubman Gill was being seen as a middle-order batsman.

Whether Suryakumar Yadav, who came in place of KL Rahul, will get a chance in the middle order, it will be a matter to be seen, because at present, Suryakumar Yadav is getting the most competition from Shreyas Iyer. There is only one slot left in the middle order, for which Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer are contenders. However, only one player will get a chance. Apart from this, both the players have not been able to play Test cricket yet. In such a situation, whoever plays, he will make his Test debut for India.

Cheteshwar Pujara will play his traditional third position, while skipper Ajinkya Rahane will play at number four. Wriddhiman Saha will get a chance as the wicketkeeper, as Rishabh Pant has been rested. Three spinners can be seen in India’s playing XI. Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin and Axar Patel are all expected to get their chances, while pacers Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav are likely to be on the way. Mohammad Siraj may have to wait for his turn.

India’s Probable Playing XI

Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (capt), Shreyas Iyer/Suryakumar Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Axar Patel, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma.
