Funds will be released every three months for guidance and career counseling for students of classes IX to XII in government schools. Using this fund, students will be given guidance for their career. Under this, funds have been released for the entire state by the State Council of Educational Research and Training. This fund will be released every three months. However, the problem is that now the fund has been released by SCERT for April-June. Along with this, time has been given till June 30 to spend it.
While summer vacations are going on in schools. In such a situation, spending the fund so soon is also a target for the schools. Whereas this fund should have been released during April-May. A total fund of 45 lakhs has been given by SCERT for all the districts of the state. At the same time, a fund of 4 lakh 29 thousand has been received for Ludhiana. However, this fund will be distributed by the education officer at the district level. It is worth noting that due to lack of knowledge about the courses which are employable to the students of government schools, many times students do not study further. Due to this, students are being told about employment opportunities and what qualifications are needed for which employment from class IX itself.
Counseling of students will be held in Guidance Corner
Guidance corner must be created in all senior secondary and high schools as per the instructions of SCERT. The schools where guidance corners and rooms have been made should be updated. Under this, information should be given to the students of classes IX to XII about employment courses. Information about various jobs and courses related to them should be given in the notice board in the corner or room. Also brochures of new courses should be prepared. Not only this, counseling will be done for the psychologically, physically and scholastically weak students by the Guidance Counselor of the school. Whatever kind of problems are being faced at the level of the students, they will also be solved by the counselors. Orders have also been given to keep employment news and newspapers in the corner.
