Jai Bahadur Yadav (39), head constable of Baragaon police station, who was seriously injured in a speeding truck collision in Varanasi, died during treatment on Friday. After getting information, the police of Shivpur police station sent the body for post-mortem. After the post-mortem, the body of Jai Bahadur Yadav will be taken to the police line. The funeral will be held there after paying condolence salute and tribute.
Fellow constable already died
On the night of November 17, head constable Jai Bahadur Yadav and constable Ajay Bhan Giri, posted in the panther duty of Harhua outpost of Baragaon police station, went out on patrol on a government bike. In Ganeshpur Tarna, a speeding truck coming from behind hit both the bikes. Jai Bahadur Yadav, resident of Rudari village of Rani Ki Sarai police station in Azamgarh district and Ajay Bhan Giri, resident of Bakwal village of Sarayalkhansi police station in Mau district were seriously injured in the accident. Both were admitted to the hospital for treatment. On the morning of November 21, Ajay Bhan Giri died during treatment. At the same time, after battling between life and death for about 9 days, Jai Bahadur also died.
Wave of mourning among the policemen of Baragaon police station
Within a week, a constable and a head constable of the Baragaon police station died unexpectedly. Due to this there is a wave of mourning among the policemen of Baragaon police station. Superintendent of Police, Rural Amit Verma said that the truck that hit the two policemen has been identified with the help of CCTV footage. The accused driver along with the truck will soon be in the custody of the police. Condolences of the entire department are with the families of both the policemen who lost their lives in the accident. Full help will be given to the families of the victims as per the government rules.
