Programs on International Yoga were organized at various places in Una district of Himachal Pradesh. The district level program was held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Pekhubela. Rural Development Minister Virendra Kanwar participated in the program organized at Thanakalan School. During this, he did yoga with the students. Trainer Bikram Thakur inspired people to do yoga regularly and taught various exercises of yoga. This program lasted for about an hour. NSS and NCC cadets also did yoga in Una College.
Rural Development Minister Kanwar said that people should include yoga in their daily routine. By doing yoga regularly, diseases will also stay away. Said that yoga is an important part of Indian culture. There is a concern in our culture that no person should remain sick. He said that in Western culture, the process of diagnosis is started after the person has got the disease. Whereas, in Indian culture, a person becomes a yogi before a patient. Yoga was created by great men to enable a person to live a long life.
He said that by doing yoga, freshness remains in the body. At the same time, diseases also run away. Through yoga, one can move from human to the attainment of divinity. In the changing times, many changes are being seen in the society. There has been a change in our lifestyle and food habits. Due to which the person is falling prey to diseases.
Said that Yoga is an invaluable gift given to the world of Indian culture under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He inspired people to do yoga regularly. After this Virendra Kanwar did yoga with the people at Eco Park in Bangana. District Council Vice President Krishnapal Sharma, Diet Principal Devendra Chauhan, Sanjeev Parashar, Yograj Bhardwaj and many others were present in the program.
