Eighth International Yoga Day was celebrated with pomp in the district on Tuesday. In the district level function at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector-38, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister JP Dalal inaugurated the program as the chief guest by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, MLA Sudhir Singla and Mayor Madhu Azad were also present. The players who performed excellently in Khelo India were honored. 15 players of Gurugram district were honored by presenting them with shawls and mementos. Such yoga programs were also organized at the block level in the district on Tuesday, under which yoga programs were organized in Sohna, Farukhnagar and Pataudi. . Apart from this, Yoga programs were also organized by various institutions, colleges and RWAs in their respective premises in the district. On the other hand, Yoga camp was organized by Patanjali Yog Samiti at Hari Om Vatika, Sector-12. In this camp, Jagdish Grover, Mahanagar Sanghchalak of RSS, and Environment Protection Department BJP Haryana chief Naveen Goel attended this camp as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Goyal said that Yoga has become a popular form of exercise in the last few years. Almost everyone around us is practicing yoga and getting benefited. Yoga is not only a means of staying fit, it has also become a medium of discipline. He said that it is an art that has been known to humanity for thousands of years.
