New Delhi, Online Desk. Bangalore needed to win the match against Punjab to keep their plowoff hopes alive but the team failed to cross the massive total of 210 runs and Punjab won the match by 54 runs. Once again the fluff show of the batsmen continued from the side of RCB and except Glenn Maxwell, none of the batsmen could score runs. He played the highest innings of 35 runs.

After the match, captain Faf du Plessis praised Jonny Bairstow’s attacking batting, saying “It was a good score, obviously the way Jani started, put our bowlers under really pressure. Chasing scores like this, you can’t lose wickets in bunches but this is what happened to us.”

Regarding Kohli’s consistent run-scoring, the captain said that “everything that can get someone out is being done that’s how the game works. All you can do is keep working hard, work hard and work hard.” Stay positive. He played some good shots tonight, obviously he wants him to go ahead. We all have bad patches, he took it on the right note.”

Captain’s plan for the next match

Regarding the next match, captain du Plessis said that “will take a day off and then see how we can switch for the next game which is important for us. Another net session isn’t going to make you a better player, it’s about making yourself stronger in mind. If we play to the best of our ability, we are a very strong side. Unfortunately, we didn’t do that tonight”
