This is the third time in the history of IPL that a spinner has taken a wicket on the very first ball of the innings. Prior to Suchith, Kevin Pietersen did this feat in IPL in 2009 in Durban and followed by Marlon Samuels in 2012 in Cuttack as a spinner on the very first ball of the innings. Now after 10 years of this, Jagdish Suchith repeated this feat and in the 15th season of IPL, RCB batsman Virat Kohli was dismissed on the very first ball of the innings.

He dismissed two important RCB batsmen Virat Kohli (Zero) and Rajat Patidar (48 runs) in this match. However, in this match, RCB scored 192 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs on the basis of their captain Du Plessis’s unbeaten half-century and Dinesh Karthik’s unbeaten 30.
