J&K Arms License Case: CBI raids former BSF jawan Pramod Sharma’s house in Bhind; Documents recovered by breaking locks, simultaneous action at 41 locations across the country

In the fake arms license case of Jammu and Kashmir, an eight-member team of CBI conducted guerilla action in Kachanav Kalan village of Gormi on Tuesday. The CBI team from Bhopal had gone to the house of former BSF jawan Pramod Sharma to scrutinize the documents related to the fake arms license. It is learned that the CBI has recovered documents from Pramod’s house by breaking the lock of the shelves.

CBI sources said that after nearly two hours of guerilla action, the team has left from here. The former BSF jawan has been questioned by the CBI several times in the past as well. A large number of people in the district have arms licenses made from Jammu and Kashmir. The CBI team has called him several times to his office and interrogated him, but now some documents were to be seized. In this regard, on Tuesday, the team raided Pramod’s house. This is a total of 2 lakh 78 thousand fake license cases.

CBI sources said that raids were conducted at 41 locations including Srinagar, Anantnag, Banihal, Baramulla, Jammu, Doda, Rajouri, Kashtwar, Leh, Delhi and Bhind in Madhya Pradesh in connection with the fake arms license case from Jammu and Kashmir. In Bhind, an eight-member CBI team from Bhopal had reached Gormi under the leadership of Inspector Abhishek Swarnkar. The house team of former BSF jawan Pramod Sharma in Kachnao Kalan village here searched documents related to fake arms license for two hours.

According to sources, raids were also conducted on Tuesday at the residences of promoted IAS officer Bashir Khan, former advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Khan was relieved of his advisory post earlier this month. He was made advisor in March last year, when GC Murmu was the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. After Murmu, Sinha became the Lieutenant Governor and Khan served as his advisor.

Let us tell you that the racket of issuing fake arms license in Jammu and Kashmir was exposed. After that in the year 2019, its investigation was started by the CBI. The name of Pramod Sharma, a resident of Kachanavkalan, came up during the investigation. It has been told that Pramod has got fake arms licenses made during his deployment in Jammu and Kashmir in the job of BSF.

Rajasthan ATS had disclosed
In the year 2017, the Rajasthan Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) exposed the issuance of fake arms licenses in Jammu and Kashmir. The Rajasthan ATS had arrested more than 50 people for issuing fake arms licenses. Fake arms licenses have been issued from Jammu and Kashmir between 2012-2016. In the year 2019, this matter has reached the CBI. Now the strings of fake license racket have also been linked to Bhind.
