Due to the agitation against Agneepath, derailed train operations have not been fully normalized yet. The rakes of many trains are stuck here and there. Because of this, it may take three-four days for the operations to return to normal. Meanwhile, 58 trains started operating in East Central Railway on Tuesday. The Patna-Ranchi and Patna-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express left for the first time on Tuesday morning. However, due to non-availability of rakes, many trains including Magadha Express and Sanghamitra Express remained suspended.
The operations started on Monday night with the departure of Rajendranagar-New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express and Sampoorna Kranti Express to Delhi. CPRO Virendra Kumar said that 24 hours work is being done to restore the operation of the suspended trains. Some more express, intercity and major passenger trains will start operating from Wednesday. Other passenger trains will operate in a phased manner as per the availability of rakes.
