Mumbai, Pretr. Police has registered an FIR against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for insulting the Sikh community. The actress had used derogatory language against the community in a post on internet media. An FIR was registered at Khar police station on Tuesday, a day after the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) submitted a complaint against the actress.

Kangana has been made an accused under IPC section 295 (outraging religious sentiments by insulting any religion or religious belief). Investigation is on in the matter. The complainant in the case, Mumbai resident businessman Amarjit Singh Sandhu, was also part of the DSGMC delegation that came to hand over the complaint on Monday, the police official said. The DSGMC delegation led by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa met Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil and Mumbai Police officials and demanded action against the actress.

Kangana called Sikh community Khalistani terrorists: DSGMC

The DSGMC, in its complaint, said that Kangana deliberately termed the farmers’ protest as a Khalistan movement and called the Sikh community Khalistani terrorists. In his statement, he cited the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The story was shared on the occasion of Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary

Let us tell you that Kangana was very agitated by Prime Minister Modi’s withdrawal of all three agricultural laws. She was constantly attacking the farmers and opposition in the country with her Instagram account. In this sequence, Kangana shared an Insta story on Friday, November 19, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Congress leader and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He wrote that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had crushed him ‘like mosquitoes’ under his shoes. It is allegedly being projected to the entire Sikh community as Khalistani terrorists.
