The Anti-Gangster Task Force of the Punjab Police has arrested a key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said on Friday that a Chinese-made pistol of .30 caliber and six cartridges were recovered from the arrested person.

The accused has been identified as Rajveer Singh alias Ravi Rajgarh, a resident of Rajgarh village in Khanna.

The Punjab Police, quoting the DGP, said in a statement that the accused Ravi Rajgarh was in touch with Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar, a terrorist based in Canada, for the last 13-14 years and was carrying out criminal activities at their behest.

Gangster Ravi Rajgarh has a criminal history with several cases related to the Arms Act besides extortion, murder and attempt to murder in Punjab.

DGP Yadav said that the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) ​​led by Additional Director General of Police Pramod Ban, based on credible information, sent a police team which arrested Rajgarh from Sector-79, Mohali.
