There have been many administrative officers in the country who have written books about the challenges they faced during their career. Readers have also appreciated those books a lot. One such book is Bihar Diaries: The True Story of How Bihar’s Most Dangerous Criminal Was Caught, written by Amit Lodha, a 1998 batch Bihar cadre officer. In this book, Amit Lodha has written his experience on the action taken against some dangerous gangsters of Bihar around 2006. A webseries based on this book ‘Khakee: The Bihar Diaries’, in which Karan Tacker has played the character of Amit Lodha.
This webseries has been created by producer and director Neeraj Pandey. If you are wondering why you should watch this action and political web series set against the backdrop of Bihar? So you read the review of this webseries once.

Why is this webseries different?
Earlier also we have seen movies and webseries like Gangajal, Rangbaaz-3 and Maharani on the political and criminal background of Bihar. But how is this webseries released on Netflix different from the rest, so let us tell that it is the story of a gangster Chandan Mahto, who first became the king of Bihar’s criminal world from Chandanwa, a diesel thief. There is also a struggle of IPS Amit Lodha in the story, who gets trapped in and out of the clutches of politics.
Who did what kind of work?
The direction of this webseries made on the background of Bihar is excellent. However, at some places, the scenes do not show the pre-2006 Bihar properly. The location and writing of the rest of the series is superb. Avinash Tiwari as Chandan Mahto and Karan Tacker as Amit Lodha have done a stellar job. Ravi Kishan’s character as Abhyudaya Singh is short but very effective. Apart from this, IG Ashutosh Rana as Mukteshwar Choubey brings a different smile on our face whenever he comes on screen. His dialogues win hearts. Apart from this, Amit Sarna has done a wonderful job in the role of Chyawanprash Sahu and Aishwarya Sushmita in the role of his wife Mita. Also, Anup Soni, Abhimanyu Singh and Nikita Dutta have also acted brilliantly.
