Kinnaur district will complete its target by October 15 in applying the second dose of Kovid vaccination. Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq gave this information during a video conferencing organized with Chief Secretary Ram Subhag Singh and Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Amitabh Awasthi. With this, the district will emerge as the first district to apply the second dose of corona not only in the state but across the country. In Kinnaur district, the second corona vaccine has been administered to 96 percent of the eligible persons.
A target was set to vaccinate 60 thousand 305 persons in the district for the second vaccine of Kovid, in which 57 thousand 626 persons have received the second vaccine of Kovid so far. Several steps were taken by the district administration to achieve the target, under which the Panchayat Secretary and Panchayat Pradhans were entrusted with the task of applying the second dose. Apart from this, a special awareness campaign was also conducted to create awareness about vaccination. Which showed positive results and today 96 percent eligible persons in the district have been given second vaccination.
The remaining 2700 people will be vaccinated at home
Now it has been decided by the district administration that about 2700 people of the district who were deprived of the second vaccine of Kovid, will be given the second vaccine at their doorstep. For which mobile teams have been formed by the Health Department, which, on the request of the local head and secretary, will go to the area and vaccinate.
People are busy with other work including apple picking
These days the residents of the district are busy in apple plucking and other works. Therefore, this decision has been taken by the administration, so that by October 15, the second vaccine of Kovid can be given to everyone. With this, the district will emerge as the first district not only in the state but across the country to apply 100 percent second dose of Kovid vaccination. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sonam Negi said that mobile teams have been formed by the department as per the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner. During this vaccination officer Dr. Anvesha Negi was also present.
