Islamabad, Pretr. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday asserted that he would not allow anyone to damage the rocky friendship between Pakistan and China. Bhutto promised a thorough investigation into the Karachi University attack and bring the perpetrators to court. Four people, including three Chinese nationals, were killed in the attack.

Attack on Chinese civilians in Pakistan

The Karachi University was attacked on 26 April by a burqa-clad female suicide bomber belonging to the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army. Three Chinese language teachers and the Pakistani driver of the vehicle were killed in the attack. This is the latest attack in Pakistan targeting a Chinese citizen.

External Affairs Minister condemns Karachi terror attack in harsh words

At an event organized in the Ministry of External Affairs to honor the lives and services of the victims of the terror attack, Bilawal said that the whole country stands with the families and people of China on this horrific loss. External Affairs Minister condemned the Karachi terror attack in the strongest terms.

Police fired tear gas shells ahead of PTI rally in Sialkot

On the other hand, Sialkot police is taking action against the activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Imran Khan’s party has alleged by tweeting. Pakistani police officers have resorted to tear gas and lathi-charged party workers preparing for a rally.

Simultaneously, Dawn newspaper quoted PTI’s tweet as saying that several party members, including leader Usman Dar, have been taken into custody ahead of the day’s rally. Quoting television news footage, the Pakistani newspaper reported that police personnel were seen demolishing the structure built for the rally. It was also seen in the footage that tear gas shells were also fired by the police.
