Ekadashi fasting has special significance in Sanatan Dharma. Ekadashi is celebrated on both the sides of every month. what is the story

According to the Sanatan religious texts, in due course of time, sage Medha merged with the Panchatattva to escape the anger of Mother Sati. The day he left his body. That day was Ekadashi. Later, Rishi Medha was born on earth in the form of rice and barley. For this reason, eating rice and barley is prohibited from time to time on Ekadashi. Astrologers also advise not to consume many things on the day of Ekadashi.

What not to do on Ekadashi

Give up tamasic food. If you are fasting, then keep in mind that do not consume tamasic things at all. At the same time, do not consume liquor even if you are not fasting.

Follow celibacy rule. Do not keep any kind of sin in your mind on the day of Ekadashi. Spend the day meditating on Lord Shri Hari Vishnu with a pure spirit and meditating on it.

According to astrologers, do not argue at all on Ekadashi. Due to this Lord Shri Hari Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi are displeased. For this, do not quarrel with anyone on the day of Ekadashi.
