In the rape case in Bikaner, which was famous across the country, the POCSO Court on Tuesday sentenced the culprits. In this case, the main accused of rape PTI (Physical Training Instructor) has been sentenced to life imprisonment, while the college principal and warden have been sentenced to six years each. Bikaner’s POCSO Court found three including PTI guilty on Saturday, sentenced them on Tuesday.
A minor girl student doing BSTC (Basic School Teaching Certificate) was raped at Jain Adarsh Girls Teacher Training Institute, Nokha. This student studying in the second year lived in the hostel. He had committed suicide in the room of PTI Vijender Singh of the college. It is alleged that Warden Priya Shukla had sent this student to PTI Vijender Singh’s room on the night of March 28, 2016. If the girl student was not found in her room, she was searched in all the rooms. On this she met in PTI’s room. After this matter, the institute management got both him and PTI to write an apology. The next morning on March 29, the body of the girl was found in the water tank of the hostel.

In this case, the family members of the student had also filed a case against the owner of the institute, Ishwar Chandra Baid. Apart from Baid, a case was registered against PTI Vijender Singh, hostel warden Priya Shukla and her husband Prateek Shukla. The court acquitted Baid as he was nowhere on the spot and in the entire case. The warden, PTI and the principal were held guilty.
