Actor Siddharth has apologized to badminton player Saina Nehwal by posting an apology on social media on Tuesday. Siddharth wrote in his apology letter – I want to apologize to you for my ugly joke. I may disagree with you, but the words and tone I used, even in anger or frustration, cannot be justified.

Siddharth further wrote- I have always been a supporter of feminism. As a woman I had no intention of taking a dig at you. I hope you will accept my letter. You will always be my champion.

US Senate committee to vote on Eric Garcetti for the post of US ambassador to India today
The Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate will vote today to appoint Eric Garcetti as ambassador to India. Eric Garcetti’s nomination for Ambassador to India from the White House was done 6 months ago. This committee of 22 senators will be headed by Senator Menendez. Eric is considered a very close confidant of Biden. He is currently the mayor of Los Angeles.

Regarding the nomination as the Indian ambassador, Gracetti said- If my name is decided, then I will try to take forward the bilateral partnership by uniting with India in a free and free Indo-Pacific range.
