In the memory of the farmers killed in Lakhimpur, United Kisan Morcha is going to celebrate Martyr Kisan Diwas across the country on Tuesday. During this, there will be a special prayer meeting or tribute meeting at Gurdwara, temple, mosque, church or any public place, toll plaza or front throughout the country. Wherever there is a farmer organization in the country, a candle march will be taken out.
In a joint statement, the farmer leaders have told that till October 11, the demands of the farmers have not been fulfilled. In such a situation, SKM will start a nationwide protest program. There has already been talk of taking out the Shaheed Kisan Yatra from Lakhimpur Kheri by taking the ashes of the martyr farmers to all the districts of UP and all the states of the country.
Modi and Shah’s effigies burnt in Dussehra
On the day of Dussehra, the United Kisan Morcha has decided that effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah will be burnt across the country. Rail Roko will be organized on October 18 from 10 am to 4 pm. At the same time, on October 26, the Kisan Morcha has already announced to convene a Kisan Mahapanchayat in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
Demand to return the case filed against the students of BHU
An FIR has been lodged against 5 students of BHU who are protesting against the government over Lakhimpur case. The Kisan Morcha has condemned it. Many people including farmer leader Mukut Singh, Rajneesh Bharti have issued a joint statement saying that an FIR has been registered against 5 students of BHU, Raj Abhishek, Bhuwal Yadav, Nitish Kumar, Akanksha Azad and an unknown student. This is an attack on freedom of expression. The United Front has demanded an unconditional withdrawal of the case. Failure to do so will result in agitation against it also.
