New Delhi, Auto Desk. Audi has started local production of the updated Q5 SUV at its production plant in Aurangabad. The 2022 Audi Q5 facelift is scheduled to launch in November 2021. The updated model was introduced in the global markets in June 2020. It comes with updated styling, feature-loaded cabin and updated BSVI-compliant turbocharged petrol engine.
Talking about its price, it is believed that its estimated price can be around Rs 55 lakh, the 2022 Audi Q5 facelift will compete with BMW X3, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Mercedes-Benz GLC. In terms of styling changes, the new Q5 comes with a more prominent and larger front grille with honeycomb pattern, updated bumper, new LED headlamps and blacked-out treatment on the front end. Other design changes include larger side intakes, restyled alloy wheels, new tail-lights with digital OLED technology and a revised rear bumper.
Minimal changes have been made inside the cabin. It gets a brand new 10.1-inch MMI infotainment system atop the central console. The infotainment system comes with Amazon Alexa integration and connected car technology. It also gets an updated digital instrument console. The 2022 Audi Q5 also gets ambient lighting system, triple zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats, wireless phone charger and cruise control.
The 2022 Audi Q5 will get a BSVI compliant 2.0-litre engine that is also offered in the company’s A6 sedan. It is capable of generating 245PS of power and 370Nm of peak torque. It’s mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and power is delivered to the wheels via Audi’s quattro AWD (all-wheel-drive) system.
