New Delhi, Jnn. Political crisis has started once again in Maharashtra. This time the Uddhav government is under threat. Government’s veteran minister Eknath Shinde has reached a hotel in Surat, Gujarat with 35 MLAs. It is being told that there are 3 more ministers with Shinde. Apart from Shiv Sena, Shinde is also accompanied by some independent MLAs. Maharashtra government minister Shinde even switched off his mobile. Even their chief minister is unable to talk. What will be Shinde’s next move? Earlier, the movement from Maharashtra to Delhi has intensified. While Shiv Sena has decided to remove Eknath Shinde from the post of its Legislature Party leader, Sewri MLA Ajay Chaudhary has been made the new leader of Shiv Sena Legislature Party.

Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde tweeted that we are staunch Shiv Sainiks of Balasaheb. Balasaheb has taught us Hindutva. We have never cheated and will never cheat for power on Balasaheb’s ideas and Anand Dighe Sahab’s teachings.

However, according to our colleague English newspaper Mid Day, Shinde will send 3 MLAs Jai Rathod, Sanjay Bangar and Dada Bhuse Kul as his messenger to Matoshree. These MLAs can break the alliance with NCP and Congress and demand formation of government with BJP. It is also being claimed that if Uddhav Thackeray does not listen to Shinde, then he can support the BJP by forming a separate party with two-thirds of the MLAs.

Amidst the political storm in Mumbai, the stir in Delhi intensified. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has left for Delhi from Mumbai. Meanwhile, NCP chief Sharad Pawar came forward and said that this is not the first time. The conspiracy to topple the government in Maharashtra has happened three times in the past. He said that the government will continue to run under the leadership of Uddhav.

Let us tell you that 31 months ago when Uddhav Thackeray formed the government in Maharashtra. Then the Shiv Sena-NCP alliance had 153 MLAs and the BJP had 106 MLAs. The assembly has 288 MLAs. That is, 144 MLAs are needed for the government.

What if there is a rebellion in Shiv Sena?

If there is a rebellion in Shiv Sena, the anti-defection law will be the biggest challenge. Eknath Shinde will also have to maintain the membership of these MLAs for the rebellion. Shiv Sena has a total of 56 MLAs in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. According to the law, Shinde will have to mobilize 2/3 MLAs i.e. 37 MLAs. At present, Shinde is being claimed to have 35 MLAs, out of which Shiv Sena has 20 MLAs.
