New Delhi, Auto Desk. Maruti Suzuki and Toyota are preparing to launch a hybrid car together in the Indian market. It is being speculated that after launch, this vehicle can give tough competition to Hyundai and Kia vehicles. Let us tell you that Suzuki-Toyota will launch 4 new SUVs with mild hybrid and strong hybrid powertrain before Diwali 2022. Before this, Toyota will also launch the next generation Innova Highcross with a stronger hybrid engine by the end of this year.

New Brezza to be launched in June

Earlier, Toyota and Maruti Suzuki will launch two new sub-4 meter SUVs and two compact SUVs in India. Maruti Suzuki will launch the new Brezza to compete with the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. Not only this, Toyota will also launch a new Urban Cruiser, which will be a new Brezza with re-badged. Let us tell you that both the SUVs will also have a mild hybrid system, which will be paired with the 1.5-litre K15C dual-jet petrol engine and this engine generates power of 103bhp and peak torque of 137Nm. Along with this, a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic have also been given.

Will compete with Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos

The new SUV will be launched to compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The new model has been designed by the company on Toyota’s TNGA-B or DNGA platform. The company will produce this new SUV at Toyota’s Plant No. 2 located in Bidadi in Karnataka.

The new Hyryder and Vitara segments will come with AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The SUV will come with two engine options, along with two gearbox options, a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Let us tell you that while Maruti and Toyota SUVs are coming with mild hybrid and strong hybrid, Hyundai and Kia are launching the car in diesel and petrol engines with automatic and manual gearbox options. On the other hand, Hyundai had just launched the Venue facelift a few days back, which has already garnered over 15,000 bookings.
