According to her Instagram post, iodine is essential for thyroid function as it supports thyroid hormone production. “Triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) are thyroid hormones that contain iodine, and iodine deficiency causes thyroid disease,” says Lavneet. There should also be sufficient level of Vitamin D in your body.
