Mission to generate 15 lakh jobs in CG: Chhattisgarh Employment Mission formed under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Chief Secretary made CEO

Chhattisgarh government has started a new exercise for employment. For this, now it has been announced to form Chhattisgarh Employment Mission. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel himself will be its president. Through this mission, the government has set a target of creating 12 to 15 lakh employment opportunities in the next five years.

Officials said that the Vice-Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Employment Mission will be the Chief Secretary. At present, Principal Secretary Dr. Alok Shukla is being made the Chief Executive Officer of the mission. Dr. Shukla will present an action plan for the formation of Chhattisgarh Employment Mission in the next one month after interaction and coordination with all the departments. Its date has not been decided yet. In this mission, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Association, Director Industries, Director Technical Education, Employment and Training, Director Fisheries, Managing Director Village Industries Handicrafts Development Board, Khadi Board, Managing Director State Rural Livelihood Mission and Chief Executive of Godhan Nyay Mission. Officers will attend as members.

States with lowest unemployment rate

In the recently released Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (MSIE) report, Chhattisgarh has been described as the state with the lowest unemployment rate. The unemployment rate here is only 2.1%. It ranks fourth among the states with the lowest unemployment in the country. The government has given its credit to the policies and schemes made during the last three years. The Chief Minister had claimed to provide employment to about five youths in the monthly radio program Lokvani.

Opposition is attacking on the question of employment

After the MSIE report and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s claim, the opposition is aggressive on the question of employment. BJP leaders allege that the government is only making false claims. The promise that Congress came to power is not being fulfilled. The vacancies which were started were not completed. The promise of unemployment allowance is also not being fulfilled.
