Praveen Darekar remarked, “If the government has even the slightest shame, it should immediately take the resignation of Nawab Malik. Those who said that we were doing politics on Nawab Malik, got a befitting reply. Devendra Fadnavis in the assembly spoke with evidence about Malik’s dealings with the bomb blast accused and demanded his resignation, but to save his government, Uddhav Thackeray supported Nawab Malik and under pressure from the NCP Did not accept his resignation.

Speaking to the media on this development, former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said, “Shocking revelations are coming out in the chargesheet. The entire connection of Nawab Malik with D-Gang has been exposed in this chargesheet. Despite this, the government Wants to save. Still, he is a minister. So, the CM wants to work with a minister who has links with Dawood.”

Nawab Malik arrested in money laundering case

Nawab Malik was arrested at 2.45 pm. The ED had on February 23 alleged that he was guilty of an offense punishable under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Iqbal Kaskar had allegedly disclosed some facts about his sister Haseena Parkar’s involvement in usurping high-value properties of innocent civilians in Mumbai. The ED alleged that the prime property of Munira Plumber in Kurla, which has a current market value of Rs 300 crore, was grabbed by the NCP leader through Solidus Investments Pvt Ltd.

According to the ED, this was done in collusion with Haseena Parkar, her bodyguard Salim Patel and 1993 bomb blasts convict Sardar Shah Wali Khan. Following this, a special PMLA court sent him to the ED’s custody. Most importantly, there are reasonable grounds to believe that the allegations are well-founded under the PMLA. Significantly, the central agency has also attached several properties of him and his family.
