Monsoon session of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly is starting from July 20. The Vidhan Sabha Secretariat issued its notification on Thursday. This session is to last till July 27, in which 6 sittings are proposed. The monsoon session in 2021 was held from 26 to 30 July. It took five days of work.

The notification was issued on Thursday by Dinesh Sharma, Secretary, Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. Government works are to be done in this session. According to the Vidhansabha’s daylight, the meetings of the Vidhan Sabha will be held on July 20, 21 and 22. 23 and 24 July will be a holiday because of Saturday-Sunday. After that the remaining three meetings are to be held on July 25, 26 and 27.

This notification has been issued by the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat.

Presidential election to be held on 18th July

The election process has started to choose the new President of the country. Nominations have to be made by June 29. Voting for the same will also be held in the state assembly complex on July 18. Counting of votes will take place on July 21. After that the name of the new President will be announced. Former Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu has been nominated by the ruling party. At the same time, the main opposition parties including Congress have declared former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha, who switched from BJP to Trinamool Congress, as a joint candidate.
