Hyderabad, IAS. Due to the Navratri season, there is a lot of activity in the temples these days. During this special decoration of temples is being done. In this sequence, the decoration of a temple in Andhra Pradesh remains the center of attraction. The temple has been decorated with notes of more than five crore rupees. The deity is decorated with currency notes worth Rs 5.16 crore at the Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwara temple in Nellore district. The decoration was done by over 100 volunteers, which took several hours. Rs 2,000, Rs 500, Rs 200, Rs 100, Rs 50 and Rs 10 notes have been used to decorate the temple.
The organizers decorated the deity with garlands and bouquets of origami flowers made of currency notes. Currency notes of different colors have added to the beauty of the temple, people are getting attracted to see the beauty of the temple. A large number of devotees worship the deity in the ‘avatar’ of ‘Dhanalakshmi’, the goddess of wealth, during Navratri. According to Nellore Urban Development Authority (NUDA) chairman and temple committee member Mukkala Dwarakanath, the committee recently completed the renovation works of the temple, which cost Rs 11 crore.
