Nominations were submitted till June 18. Along with BJP-Congress, candidates and independents of other parties including AAP, BSP, Janata Dal had also submitted their nominations. To withdraw the nomination from them, the senior leaders of the party are trying hard to get rid of the nomination. Talking about the capital Bhopal, there are 11 candidates for mayor, while 810 nominations were submitted for councilor. Similar situation is in the urban bodies including Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Dewas.

If the damage control continued throughout the night of Tuesday, then from Wednesday morning again the leaders would be busy in persuading the dissenters.
