MP is second in the country in Nikshay Mitra Abhiyan: TB patients will get help in employment with investigation, treatment, nutritious diet, PM Modi tweeted

Madhya Pradesh has topped the country in the Nikshay Mitra campaign that started from the birthday of PM Narendra Modi. MP has come second in the country in the campaign to adopt patients suffering from TB disease. PM Narendra Modi has given this information by tweeting. There are one lakh 191 TB patients in MP. 91% of these patients have given their consent for adoption. Social organizations, public representatives and officials are being involved in the campaign to adopt TB patients.
Adopted Nikshay Mitra will help patients in three ways
NHM officials said that from September 17, the Nikshay Mitra campaign was started to hand over the social responsibility of TB patients. People adopting TB patients in this campaign will now help them in three ways. Will help in the investigation, treatment of patients suffering from TB disease. To help the patients suffering from this disease to stay healthy, they will financially help in nutritional diet or will provide them with nutrient-rich food items directly. People who adopt TB patients at number three will also help in getting employment for these patients. People who take responsibility of TB patients have been named Nikshay Mitras.

4 lakh deaths due to TB every year in India
Every year 20-25 lakh TB cases are reported in India and about 4 lakh people lose their lives due to this disease. Presently 13.5 lakh TB patients are undergoing treatment out of which more than 9 lakh patients have given their consent for adoption under the Nikshay Mitra Abhiyan.

Most TB patients in Chhatarpur

Talking about MP, there are a total of one lakh 191 patients of TB in the entire state. Bhopal has 5495 TB patients at number two. There are 5518 patients in Gwalior, 3945 in Indore, 3209 in Morena. Dindori has the lowest number of 615 patients.
