On this day Lord Vishnu took the incarnation of Narasimha to save his supreme devotee Prahlad from the demon king Hiranyakashipu. He established religion by killing the demon in this incarnation. So Lord Vishnu took Narasimha avatar to save his devotee Prahlad and he came out tearing a pillar. Along with this, he killed Hiranyakashipu by keeping his thighs in the threshold. Along with this, the time for slaughter was chosen between the end of the day and the beginning of the evening. For this reason, worshiping Lord Narasimha in the evening is considered auspicious.

Worship method of Narasimha Jayanti 2022
Today, meditate on Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Shri Hari, throughout the day. On the other hand, for worship, install a picture or an idol by laying a yellow cloth in a post. After this, do Jalabhishek through conch shell or lota. After this, offer flowers, garlands, yellow sandalwood, akshat etc. to the incarnation of Shri Hari. After this, offer coconut, saffron, fruits and sweets. Then chant the mantras while meditating on God by lighting a ghee lamp and incense. Along with this, keep a fast from sunrise to sunrise on the second day without eating food.

Narasimha Jayanti is one of the holy fasts of Hinduism. On this day Lord Shri Hari Vishnu took the incarnation of Narasimha to protect Dharma.
