There has been a fierce encounter between the police and Naxalites in the Chhattisgarh-Odisha border on Tuesday morning. In this encounter, the Special Operation Group (SOG) of Odisha has killed 3 Naxalites. Two women and one man are among the killed Naxalites. SOG has also recovered the bodies of all.

The identity of the three slain Maoists is yet to be ascertained. 1 jawan has also been shot in this encounter. Which will be referred to Visakhapatnam with the help of helicopter. Here, the jawans have also recovered one INSAS and one SLR rifle from the spot. The force is still present at the scene of the incident.

According to the information, the Malkangiri Police of Odisha had received strong information from the informer that a large number of Naxalites are present in the Tulsi hill area on the border of Chhattisgarh and Odisha. On the basis of this information, the force was dispatched on Tuesday morning. It is being told that the force entered the Tulsi hill area from all sides. Seeing the soldiers coming, the Maoists opened fire. In retaliation, the force has killed 3 Naxalites. Here, the backup party has also reached the spot. At present the encounter is closed, but the search is on for the spot. More information will be available when the jawans return.
