The agency in its reply told the court that their investigation has found involvement of Aryan in obtaining and distributing banned drugs. The probe agency claimed that Aryan had been taking drugs from another accused Arbaaz Merchant. The NCB further said that the accused one (Aryan) and two (Arbaaz) have been working together, hence section 29 (criminal conspiracy) of the NDPS Act is applicable to them. The NCB told the court that during the raid on Cruise, 6 grams of charas was found from Arbaaz, which he had hidden in his shoes.
NCB has so far arrested 20 people in this case, out of which two are foreign nationals. Let us tell you, on the night of 2 October, the NCB team raided the luxury cruise ship going from Mumbai to Goa, where a rave party was going on. Aryan Khan was also present in this party. NCB had detained eight people including Aryan from Cruise. The next day on October 3, after several hours of interrogation, the agency arrested all of them and produced them in court, from where they were sent to one day’s custody.
